Unidentified birdsong in Oslomarka

Hello! I am English bird enthusiast living in Oslo. I was skiing in Romeriksåsene yesterday when I heard bird calls I did not recognise. There were a pair of birds at the top of a fir tree, hanging upside down and eating from long fir cones. They were too far away to really distinguish colour, but they seemed quite plain, maybe pale grey/buff. From a distance it looked a bit like the size and shape of a Pine Grosbeak and the behaviour was like that, or maybe a crossbill of sorts. But I didn't recognise the calls (and nor did my Merlin Bird ID app!). I have tried searching the likely birds but not made any obvious connection. I took a recording - the song is most clear in the first ten seconds or so I guess. Any help you can provide would be HUGELY welcome! Thanks so much, tusen takk!

Svar:
